The Hopeday Standard
At Hopeday, we believe that structure is not the opposite of freedom — it is what makes genuine freedom possible. Our codes and policies exist to ensure that every child feels safe, respected, and ready to learn every single day.
Student Code of Conduct
We ask every Hopeday student to hold themselves to four standards:
- Respect — for teachers, peers, school property, and themselves
- Responsibility — owning their actions, their attendance, and their learning
- Resilience — persisting when things are difficult, seeking help when needed
- Representation — being a proud ambassador of Hopeday in and out of school
Zero Tolerance
Bullying, harassment, and discrimination in any form are met with immediate and serious consequences. Every child at Hopeday has the right to feel completely safe. That right is non-negotiable.
Academic Integrity
We take academic honesty seriously. Cheating and plagiarism undermine the real achievement of learning — and they rob children of the confidence that only comes from doing the hard work themselves.
Attendance Policy
Research is unambiguous: attendance is one of the strongest predictors of academic success. We expect regular, punctual attendance and work with families promptly when patterns of absence emerge.
Mobile Devices
Mobile phones must be surrendered at the school gate each morning and collected at dismissal. This policy protects learning time and supports face-to-face relationships between students.
