Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers to the questions parents ask most.

You Asked. We Answer.

These are the questions we hear most often from parents considering Hopeday. We believe in giving you real answers — not marketing language.

Three things, honestly: we know every child by name and by learning profile; we have high expectations backed by genuine support; and we track every student's progress carefully enough to catch problems early. We are also deeply transparent with parents — you will never be surprised by your child's results here because we tell you the truth throughout the year.
We maintain a maximum of 15 students per class in primary, 18 in junior secondary, and 20 in senior secondary. Our target student-to-teacher ratio is 15:1. Small classes are not a luxury here — they are essential to our model.
This is exactly the kind of child Hopeday was built for. When a child has struggled elsewhere, we assume the issue was a mismatch between how they learn and how they were taught — not a deficit in the child. We assess every new student carefully and build a personal plan from day one. We have never yet found a child we could not reach with the right approach and enough patience.
Yes. We operate bus routes covering the major residential areas around Likosi. Contact our admin team for current route availability and terms.
Zero tolerance — applied consistently, not selectively. Every reported incident is investigated within 24 hours, with the affected family informed at each stage. We also invest heavily in prevention: our PSHE curriculum explicitly teaches empathy, healthy relationships, and bystander responsibility. We do not wait for bullying to happen before we address it.
Three ways: formal end-of-term reports with detailed teacher comments; parent-teacher meetings each term; and our open-door policy — any parent can request an appointment with their child's teacher at any time. We also reach out proactively when we notice anything worth discussing.
Mid-year admissions are possible subject to space availability. The process is the same as our standard admissions: enquiry, tour, assessment, decision. Contact us and we will guide you through it personally.
