Education That Reaches Beyond Our Gates
We want every Hopeday graduate to leave this school with not just a set of qualifications, but a set of values — chief among them the conviction that their gifts exist not just for their own benefit, but for the benefit of the community around them.
Community service at Hopeday is not a box-ticking exercise. It is a living part of our character curriculum. Our students choose projects they care about, plan and execute them independently, and reflect honestly on what they have learned.
📚 Likosi Reads
Hopeday secondary students visit local primary schools weekly to support children with reading. Over 400 young readers supported in the past year.
🌿 Clean Likosi
Monthly neighbourhood clean-up drives organised and led entirely by our Green Team students. They own it — completely.
🍱 Food for Families
Termly food drives collecting non-perishable items for families experiencing hardship. Students organise, promote, sort, and distribute.
🏥 Community Health Days
In partnership with local health workers, our senior students help organise free blood pressure, sight, and diabetes screening events for community elders.
What Students Say
"I thought community service was something you just had to do. Then I saw the face of the little boy I had been helping read, on the day he finally finished his first chapter book on his own. Now I understand why we do this." — Hopeday SSS 2 student
