Safeguarding

Your child's safety is not a policy on a page β€” it is the first thought in every room they enter here.

Every Child, Protected. Every Day.

At Hopeday, safeguarding is not a compliance exercise. It is the foundation on which everything else we do is built. A child who does not feel safe cannot learn. A child who is not safe cannot thrive. We take both statements with the utmost seriousness.

What We Do Every Day

πŸ”’ Secure Environment

Our campus operates a strict sign-in and sign-out system. No child is released to any individual not listed on their authorised collection record.

πŸ‘€ Trained Eyes

All Hopeday staff β€” teaching and non-teaching β€” are trained to recognise the signs of a child under stress, in danger, or in need of support.

πŸ“’ Open Reporting

Children are actively encouraged to speak up β€” to any trusted adult in the school. We have a dedicated pastoral room and anonymous reporting options for older students.

🀝 Specialist Support

When a concern is identified, our Designated Safeguarding Lead coordinates with trained counsellors and, where necessary, with state child welfare authorities.

Anti-Bullying Commitment

Hopeday operates a zero-tolerance approach to bullying in all forms β€” physical, verbal, social, or digital. Every report is taken seriously, investigated promptly, and followed up with the affected family. We do not minimise. We do not dismiss. We act.

Report a Concern

If you have any concern about a child's welfare β€” whether your own or another's β€” please contact us immediately. No concern is too small. Early action saves children.
